Hanging scrolls are often found in Japanese houses. It is used as a decoration and can be changed depending on the season. We offer you the chance to have your own personalized hanging scroll, made with Japanese traditional washi paper, with your name (or someone else name) and a kanji of your choice, hand written on it by our calligraphy master.
The flowers and leaves might change depending on the season, as we use seasonal natural plants.
- 愛 – Love
- 金 – Money
- 福 – Good fortune
- 力 – Strength
We will translate the name you choose into katakana phonetics where 1 syllable = 1 symbol. For example: for the name “Marie” we use the katakana for MA = マ and the katakana for RI = リ. Marie = マリ.
You can choose to have flowers or leaves or both on your design. They are natural flowers and leaves from Kyoto that are added in the mix when making the washi paper.
